Simple, Flat Words

By: Nia Braccidiferro

We were asked to combine the efforts of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Indesign to create this poster. I first created the objects on the bottom and the top of the poster in Illustrator. I selected the symbols and put them in text boxes. I turned them to the color white, so they could stand out more. I placed them in the same places that were shown on the poster to transfer them to Indesign. The middle part, also known as the banner, was created in Photoshop. I added a light drop shadow to add some dimension to the poster. After I finished it, I placed it in the same spot and moved it to Indesign. Once every object was moved to Indesign, I started typing text on the poster. I put every text box in a different font. For the background, I split the background in half color-wise. Half of the background was a lighter red, and the other half was a darker red. The final product came out very simple and flat looking, which was the initial goal.
