Save the Turtles

By: Nia Braccidiferro

This was one of the first major Indesign projects completed in this course. I started by inserting three columns and adding text to them. The text was provided by the professor. I placed a picture of the ocean in the background and used a white gradient to create a lighter sky. I embedded two pngs of turtles in the foreground of the article poster. I transformed the bottom turtle and enlarged it to cover a large majority of the poster. The png of the turtle at the top of the poster was moved so only the tail was visible. I also placed an additional photo of a turtle on top of the text. I placed clipping masks on the turtles so the text could be wrapped around the photos. The first letter of the first paragraph was enlarged and italicized for effect. The last paragraph was italicized as well. I finally added a title to the article poster. I decided to choose the color purple for the title to change the focus.
